Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Amount Measure Ingredient
2 cups flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 medium bananas, ripe
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips


Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 12 muffin cups. Combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt in large bowl. Combine bananas, milk, butter, oil, eggs, and vanilla in small bowl until blended. Stir into flour mixture just until moistened. Fold in chocolate chips. Spoon into prepared muffin cups, about 2/3 full. Bake 15 to 20 minutes. Cool on cooling racks.
